De Britto College
De Britto High School in Yogyakarta has a long rich tradition of nurturing young men into exceptional individuals, always eager to embrace fresh knowledge and experiences. Located at Laksda Adisucipto 161 in Yogyakarta, the school was founded on August 19, 1948, and has consistently educated servant leaders for the community. As a part of the global network of Jesuit Schools, De Britto High School is run by priests from The Society of Jesus, commonly known as the Jesuits. The school’s name pays tribute to a Portuguese Jesuit missionary who was martyred in Madurai, India, in 1693. De Britto is renowned among the youth for its students’ distinctive look: they don’t adhere to a uniform, often sport long hair, and embrace an eccentric style. This unique identity is a hallmark of this all-boys school.
